Jon W.

Jon W. has a diverse work experience in software engineering, primarily focusing on full-stack JavaScript development. Jon started their career in 2016 at Cohaesus, where they worked remotely with a team in London to create a railcard API for the UK rail network. Jon utilized Swagger and developed a Node script for the project.

In 2017, Jon joined Bamblehorse Enterprises as a Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer for a brief period before moving to Action Media Montreal. At Action Media Montreal, they fixed a desktop-only AngularJS app filled with bugs, rewriting it in Vue.js single file components within three months. Jon significantly reduced the codebase's size from 16,500 lines to 8,000 lines.

In 2018, Jon joined Hazy as a Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer, where they created web applications as an interface for their AI infrastructure. Jon also took on tasks such as website development and spearheading company rebranding efforts.

From 2019 to 2022, Jon worked at X-Team as a Senior Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer.

Most recently, Jon joined MAX Digital in 2022 as a Lead Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer and later transitioned to MapQuest in the same year as a Lead Software Engineer.

Jon W. began their education at St James Senior Boys' School, where they completed their high school education from 2003 to 2012. During this time, they achieved 9 GCSE grades ranging from A to A* and pursued A levels in Art and Computing. Moving forward, in 2012, they attended Goldsmiths, University of London, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology, which they completed in 2013. Afterward, Jon studied at the International Meditation Institute from 2013 to 2016, specializing in Meditation and Vedant Philosophy. In 2016, they furthered their education by undertaking various online courses. Jon completed the Full Stack JavaScript Track at Treehouse, received a Nanodegree in Front-End Web Development from Udacity, and pursued Full Stack Web Development at freeCodeCamp.
