Katie Mahlawat has over 12 years of work experience in various roles. In 2008, they started their career as a Software Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services. In 2010, they joined Irio Mobile Marketing as a Product Manager. In 2011, they moved to Ericsson as a SI Engineer where they led the initiative of automating data creation and backup procedures. In 2013, they joined Capital One as a Data Risk Management and was recognized with the prestigious “Circle of Excellence” award by Rich Fairbank, the CEO, for outstanding performance. In 2019, they founded MapUp, where they are passionate about transforming mapping into a practical decision-making tool for commuters, commercial transporters and mobility providers.

Katie Mahlawat obtained their M.S. in Management Information System from The University of Texas at Dallas between 2009 and 2010. Katie also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute and a SAS Certificate in Business Intelligence and Data Mining from SAS.
