Devin Tu

Devin Tu has a diverse work experience with a focus on environmental and land use planning. Devin is the Founder of MapYourProperty, an online mapping and data analytic tool for development and land use planning. Devin also participated in the Colliers Proptech Program by Techstars in 2018. Devin has volunteered as a Sponsorship Coordinator for HackerNest, specializing in hackathon, open data, and geospatial and data-driven companies.

Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Devin worked as a Policy Advisor and Land Use Planner for the Ontario Ministry of the Environment & Ministry of Natural Resources, where they provided analytical and policy advice on sustainable and greenhouse gas emission legislation. Devin also assisted in the development of Source Protection Plans.

Earlier in their career, Devin served as a Senior Natural Resource Policy Officer for the Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management, focusing on land management and environmental policies. Devin also worked as an Environmental Consultant at Arup and as a Technical Officer for the Queensland Department of Natural Resource and Water.

Devin's academic background includes research on coral bleaching at the University of Queensland and studying the interactions between kelp forest and water flow factors at UC Santa Barbara.

Devin Tu began their education at Piedmont High School, where they completed their secondary education in an unspecified field of study in the year 2001. Following this, they attended UC Santa Barbara from 2001 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies. Continuing their academic pursuits, Devin enrolled at The University of Queensland from 2007 to 2008, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Conservation and Marine Science.
