Head Embroidery Designer at Marchesa

Fernanda Ormeno has a diverse range of work experience in the fashion industry. Fernanda began their career as a Design and Production Intern at Orietta Fernández in 2007. From there, they went on to intern at Zac Posen and Stella McCartney in 2011, gaining valuable experience in public relations. In 2012, they then worked as a Bridal Services Administrative and Alterations Intern at Vera Wang. In 2013, Fernanda served as a Design Intern at Elizabeth and James. Fernanda then joined 3.1 Phillip Lim in 2014, where they worked as a Print and Embroidery Assistant Designer before transitioning to the role of Print and Embroidery Designer. In 2016, Fernanda joined Marchesa as an Embroidery Assistant Designer and worked their way up to Senior Embroidery Designer, before ultimately becoming the Head Embroidery Designer in 2022. Fernanda'sexperience at Marchesa spans from 2016 to the present.

Fernanda Ormeno completed their education at various institutions. Fernanda attended the Colegio Franklin Delano Roosevelt from 1995 to 2010 and earned an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. In 2008-2009, they studied Italian Studies at the Centro Di Lingua e Cultura Italiana. Furthermore, Fernanda pursued their passion for fashion by attending the Parsons School of Design from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fashion/Apparel Design. Additionally, in 2012, they participated in a Summer Program at the Fashion Institute of Technology focused on Fashion Styling.
