Marchesa
Mor Kfir has an extensive work experience in the fashion industry. The most recent position held by Mor Kfir is as a Designer at Marchesa Couture, where they are responsible for designing and developing machine embroidery artwork for the Couture and Bridal categories. Prior to that, Mor Kfir worked as a Designer at KOBI HALPERIN, where they collaborated with the creative director and president of Design to develop the mainline and Gold collections. They also created original embroidery layouts and worked on embroidery placements using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Mor Kfir also has experience as a Head Designer/Creative Director at THE HIVE NYC (Rags etc.), where they led the design and production of fashion pieces for fashion shows and performances. In addition, Mor Kfir was the Co-Founder and Head Designer of the pop-up brand MORKE, where they designed and produced a cohesive collection of T-shirts and accessories. They also worked as a Fashion Designer at Maskit, specializing in embroideries and fabric prints for luxury ready-to-wear collections.
Earlier in their career, Mor Kfir worked as an Assistant Head Designer for Keren Naftali, where they assisted with all aspects of women's wear collection. They also gained experience as an Intern/Assistant Head Designer at Mira Zwillinger, working on all aspects of the couture gown collection.
Throughout their career, Mor Kfir has displayed expertise in textile design, illustration, embroidery, and conceptualization.
Mor Kfir earned their Bachelor's degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from Shenkar from 2009 to 2013.
Marchesa
British born Georgina and Keren met at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. Georgina, a 2001 graduate of the Wimbledon School of Art, began her career as a costume designer. Keren graduated from Brighton Art College in 2000 and subsequently focused on print and embroidery design. Georgina’s draping and design expertise paired with Keren’s textile creations resulted in a business partnership and the establishment of Marchesa in 2004. Elegant eveningwear, inspired by vintage and Asian influences, defines the Marchesa Collection. The beautifully crafted designs fuse high fashion with an eclectic aesthetic. Co-founded by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, the company’s namesake and muse, Marchesa Luisa Casati, is the noted eccentric European style icon. Based in New York, the Marchesa collection is presently available in Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in the United States, Harrods in London, and specialty boutiques such as Holt Renfrew in Canada, Podium in Russia, Alothman in Kuwait, Boutique1 in Dubai, and Joyce and Lane Crawford in Hong Kong.
