Brian Jackson

Professional Services Programmer/Graphic Design at MarcomCentral

Brian Jackson has diverse work experience in the field of graphic design and art direction. Brian started their career as a Graphic Designer at Moore County Telephone Directory in 2002 and then moved on to work as a Graphic Designer at Rancho Santa Fe Review & Del Mar Village Voice in 2004. Brian later joined PrintDepartment.com as a Graphic Designer and was eventually promoted to the role of Art Director. In 2006, Brian became a Graphic Designer/Art Director at PrintSf.com and worked there until 2009. Brian then joined MarketSmart, LLC as an Art Director, where their responsibilities included supervising Variable Data Publishing, executing target marketing strategies, and providing creative business solutions. In 2010, Brian established their own design company called Brian Jackson Designs, where they served as the Art Director and catered to a wide range of projects and clients. In 2011, they worked as a Sales Engineer and later as a Professional Services Programmer/Graphic Design at MarcomCentral. Additionally, Brian had a brief stint as a Freelance Designer at Mentus in 2011. Throughout their career, they have collaborated with prominent clients such as Volvo, Charles Schwab, Subway, Geico, Fiserv, and many others.

Brian Jackson attended Appalachian State University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design. In 1999, they also spent a year at the University of Sunderland as part of a Graphic Design Exchange program.

In addition to their formal education, Brian has also obtained certifications in CSS and HTML from the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education. Brian received the Cambridge University CSS 1 Certification in May 2018 and the Cambridge University HTML 1 Certification in April 2018.
