Maredi Telecoms was established as a partnership between Marubeni (Tokyo Stock Exchange listed company) and EDI Technologies (A Broad-based BEE consortium) in 2006. 

In 2010 the company shareholding was restructured resulting in EDI Technologies acquiring full control of shareholding of the company. 

Since then the company has entered into various transactions inline with its strategy to become a fully fledged technology solutions provider focusing on energy management, telecoms infrastructure deployment, specialist software development and training.

Some of the recent transactions include the acquisition of PDEV and Invirohub.

Maredi Technology Group now incorporates Maredi Telecoms , PDEV and Invirohub.
