Róisín Moriarty is a Research Fellow at University College Cork and MaREI, focusing on developing modeling tools for long-term climate planning related to energy, land, and food systems as part of the SELFS project. Moriarty has served as the lead author for Ireland's Climate Change Assessment, contributing extensively to multiple chapters addressing transformative change in landscapes and participation. Previous roles include Expert Reviewer for UN Climate Change, Science Officer at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Ireland, and Climate Science & Policy Advisor for the Irish Climate Change Advisory Council. With significant experience in climate policy, data synthesis, and communication, Moriarty holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of East Anglia and a Bachelor’s in Marine Sciences from the University of Galway.
