James O'Dell

James O'Dell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in safety management and athlete development. Currently serving as the Environment, Health and Safety Manager at Marel since July 2022, O'Dell previously held significant roles at the Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club, including Executive Director where responsibilities encompassed program oversight, athlete support, event management, and community engagement. O'Dell has also worked as a Safety Manager at Kipper Tool Company, where efforts led to major improvements in safety culture and practices. With a background that includes coaching at various levels, safety training, and team development for dragon boat and paddlesport disciplines, O'Dell has consistently demonstrated a commitment to enhancing safety and wellness in both professional and recreational environments. O'Dell holds a BS in Occupational Safety and Health from Almeda University.
