Marente heeft een belangrijke rol in de zorg en ondersteuning aan ouderen en kwetsbaren in de Duin- en Bollenstreek, Oegstgeest, Voorschoten en Leiden. Zij ondersteunt mensen om zo lang mogelijk zelfstandig te blijven wonen en leven. Daarnaast helpt Marente te revalideren of herstellen na een behandeling in het ziekenhuis of bij de huisarts. Voor de meest kwetsbare ouderen biedt Marente verblijf, zorg en behandeling in 12 woonlocaties, waaronder verpleeghuizen, woonzorglocaties en huurappartementen.

Marente is gastvrij en ondersteunt haar cliënten en mantelzorgers door de inzet van betrokken vrijwilligers en zorgprofessionals. Eigen regie is daarbij altijd het uitgangspunt. Adequate zorg is dan net zo hard nodig als passende hulp van familie, vrienden en buren.
