Transcending what we have come to understand as the traditional institutional model and norm - Marfa Invitational is grounded in the credence that sensory immersion via Contemporary Art, and all its forms, heightens the 'human experience'. Expanding one's 'umwelt'- an individual's interaction with the surrounding world. Deepening our relationship to and with Art, the landscape which surrounds us, and each other.

As a Nonprofit Cultural Institution, Marfa Invitational is dedicated to enriching the cultural fabric of the global landscape. Valuing recognition, respect, and celebration of Gender and Race equality and strength, Marfa Invitational is committed to supporting and empowering Women and minorities in the Arts, along with the LGBT Community. It is our belief and understanding that these core principles heighten the human experience.
