Howard Schacter

Howard Schacter currently serves as the Chief Communications Officer at MariMed, Inc. since May 2021, overseeing all external and internal communications for the cannabis multi-state operator. Previously, from July 2018 to March 2021, Schacter was the Vice President of Communications at Acreage Holdings, where responsibilities included developing the corporate narrative and managing public relations for various high-profile events. Prior experiences also include serving as Chief Communications Officer at the National Association of Cannabis Businesses, President/Chief Operating Officer at DiGennaro Communications, and Chief Partnership Officer at Steve & Barry's, where significant national partnerships were established. Earlier roles involved senior positions in public relations and communications with Clear Channel Entertainment and other marketing agencies. Schacter holds a BS in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
