Felipe Novais is currently a Visiting Researcher at MARIN Academy since June 2022 and an Early Stage Researcher and PhD Candidate at Politecnico di Milano since November 2020, focusing on hardware-in-the-loop experiments for Floating Offshore Wind Turbines as part of the STEP4WIND project. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at Fraunhofer-Institut für Windenergiesysteme and an intern and master's thesis student at sowento. Additionally, Felipe has contributed as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and held various positions related to energy engineering and renewable energies. Felipe holds a PhD in Wind Energy from Politecnico di Milano, a Master's degree in Wind Power Engineering from Hochschule Flensburg, and a Diploma in Energy Engineering from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Further educational pursuits include participation in summer schools at Aarhus University and DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
