John Huisman

John Huisman is a Senior Project Manager at the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN) since February 2016, focusing on propulsion-related projects using model tests and advanced computational methods such as PROCAL, PropArt, and ReFresco. Prior to this role, John gained valuable experience as a Project Manager at MARIN, specializing in the design and evaluation of various propellers, and completed a Master’s Thesis on optimizing ice-class propeller design. Earlier internships at IHC Holland BV and Damen Shipyards Group provided exposure to ship propeller analysis and conceptual design of Arctic offshore supply vessels. John's academic background includes a degree from Delft University of Technology and ongoing studies at Aalto University.
