Joy Klinkenberg

Joy Klinkenberg is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in ship optimization and hydrodynamics. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands) since November 2013, Joy focuses on hull form optimization and manages model testing projects, utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to assist clients in achieving optimal designs. Prior to this role, Joy held positions as a Project Manager and Applied CFD Specialist, as well as completing significant research as a PhD student at both KTH Stockholm and Eindhoven University of Technology, studying the influence of particles on shear flow transitions. Joy holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Fluid Dynamics from both KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Eindhoven University of Technology, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
