Tim Bunnik is a senior researcher at MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands) since 1999, specializing in numerical models for wave structure interaction with a focus on renewable energy and hydroelasticity. Previously, Tim worked as a PhD student at TU Delft, where they wrote a thesis on seakeeping calculations for ships. Tim holds a Dr. Ir. degree in Applied Mathematics from Delft University of Technology, earned in 1999.
