Powered by algae. Proven by sea science.

We're on a mission to create healthy bodies. After years of cleaning our routines and eliminates endocrine disrupters, environmental polluters, harsh and untrustworthy ingredients, we were left with... nothing all that exciting. So we went on a hunt for a better ingredient, that could actually perform for you and make your skin and body stronger, brighter, more resilient.

That is when we discovered sea algae. Packed with complex carbohydrates, amino acids and minerals that have been scientifically proven to support skin hydration and barrier repair by 17%, and act as a powerful gut prebiotic, antioxidant and can support the gut-skin health axis.

Born in Vancouver, Canada, Maris Dae crafts self care and wellness products with the power of red sea algae and kelp. Designed for a life lived outside, with skin exposed to sun, salt and snow, our products restore, protect and create your healthiest skin yet.

Our line is powered by our exclusive Maris Element, our exclusive blend of algae harvested off Vancouver Island, fermented in our lab, and blended with hardworking clinical actives like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, squalane and nutrient-rich oils.

From the founder of Better Basics Eco Lifestyle Company, our first venture in sustainable home and personal care, we’ve evolved into Maris Dae to focus on ocean-powered skin and gut health.

Our mission runs deeper than skin: we're passionate about creating healthy lifestyles that connect people with nature. Our products are vegan, reef-safe, cruelty-free, and sustainably packaged. As proud members of 1% for the Planet, we’re building a future where science and nature work together to keep you (and the ocean) thriving.

We are a small, female-founded and founder-owned team on a mission to create a company, and products that we believe in.
