Maris Ventures is an ocean-first venture initiative committed to advancing the blue economy through investment, partnership, and venture building.

We combine venture capital with Maris Cultivator, our venture-building platform, to accelerate founders and strengthen existing businesses. This dual approach enables us to support both startups seeking scale and SMEs or established enterprises aiming to innovate, expand into new markets, or transition towards sustainable growth models.

Our scope spans:

Early-stage ventures: Pre-seed to Series A investments in ocean technologies and climate-resilient solutions.

Strategic partnerships: Collaborations with SMEs and established businesses in logistics, maritime services, energy, and materials, helping them access new markets, adopt digital tools, or unlock blended financing.

Venture building: Through Maris Cultivator, we co-develop solutions, provide governance structures, and bring operational expertise to accelerate commercialisation.

Talent sponsorship: We sponsor students, researchers, and scientists pursuing marine-based studies, nurturing a new generation passionate about our oceans and aligned with Maris Ventures’ mission.

Our philosophy rests on three pillars:

Impact with rigour – aligning to SDG 14, applying IRIS+ and Blue Economy Taxonomy standards.

Operational edge – delivering governance, scaling operations, and securing market traction for ventures and SMEs alike.

Capital innovation – blending private investment, family office capital, DFIs, and philanthropy to drive systemic change.

We believe the ocean is not just a frontier, but the foundation of the world’s climate, economy, and future prosperity. By working with visionary founders, forward-looking businesses, and the next generation of ocean leaders, Maris Ventures delivers financial returns, measurable environmental impact, and lasting value across generations.
