Monja Esterhuizen

Monja Esterhuizen is an experienced Lead Planning Specialist at MARISWE, previously UWP Consulting, since 2019, providing institutional support to local government in infrastructure planning and water services management. With a strong background in geospatial analysis and development planning, Monja has held various roles at UWP Consulting (Pty) Ltd since 2001, including Associate and Principal Consultant, contributing expertise in water resources management, GIS, and strategic planning. Earlier positions include Principal Geographer and Development Planner at Business Connexion and a series of progressively responsible roles at UWP Consulting, demonstrating a solid foundation in project management and administration. Monja holds an MSc in Water Resource Management from the University of Pretoria and a BSc Hons in Geography and Environmental Studies from North-West University.
