Michael Bond

Michael Bond is the Chief Underwriting Officer for National Accounts at Markel, where they are responsible for developing the National Accounts Segment focused on high-value surety facilities. With over three decades of experience in Surety, Credit, and Political Risk, they have held key positions, including Senior Insurance Officer at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and Head of Surety at Euler Hermes North America. Previously, Michael also served in various executive roles at Zurich Insurance Company. They earned an MBA from Loyola University Maryland and hold a BS in Geological Science from Rutgers University, along with an MS in Geological Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
