Jim Dickson

Jim Dickson has a diverse work experience in the eyecare industry. Jim is currently the Head of Professional Affairs for the UK & Ireland at mark'ennovy since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Alcon from 2014 to 2021, where they were a Professional Development Manager, responsible for training and coaching eye care practitioners. Jim also presented at industry events and supervised students at the university. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Business Development Manager at CIBA Vision. Earlier in their career, they worked at Vision Express as a Contact Lens Optician, providing clinical cover and training for pre-reg optometrists. Jim also mentored and supported JV partners in selected stores. Before that, they were a Director at Specsavers, involved in founding stores and serving as Chairman of the Scottish region.

Jim Dickson attended PMHS Erskine for an unknown period of time. Jim did not obtain a degree or specialize in any particular field of study during this time. In addition to their formal education, they hold certifications in Dispensing Optician from ABDO College, Dispensing and Contact Lens Optician from the General Optical Council, and a Dry Eye Certificate from BCLA.
