Hadley Johnson

Hadley Johnson is the current VP of Data Science at Markerr. Prior to this, they served as Senior VP Data Science at Lightstone, where they led the company's expansion into quantitative commercial real estate investing. Hadley also served as Principal Data Scientist and Team Lead at Orbital Insight, where they led the company's expansion beyond satellite data into new sources of geospatial data including geolocation (mobile phones), ship tracking, connected cars, IoT, and more. Prior to that, they were the Lead and Founding Data Scientist at Orbital Insight, where they were the team leader and author of the majority of the company's DS algorithms and IP for the first three years. Hadley also recruited and grew the DS team from self to C-round. Later, they moved on to expand the company's data analysis capabilities beyond satellites. Hadley has also worked as a Portfolio Manager at Tower Research Capital, where they developed a real-time statistical arbitrage trading model for Mortgage Backed Securities trading more than $100 million per day. Prior to that, they served as Founder / Sole Proprietor at Blue Aspen Consulting (Financial) for 2 years. Hadley has also served as Chief Scientist / Managing Director at UBS for 4 years and as Manager Automated Trading Group at Prediction Company for 5 years. Her career began as a Research Scientist at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where they worked for 7 years.

Hadley Johnson has a Bachelor's Degree from Scripps Institution of Oceanography / University of California San Diego in Physics and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from UC San Diego in Geophysics and Statistical Data Analysis.
