Cathryn Chen

Cathryn Chen is the Founder & GP at Radiate Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on investing in Fintech & Blockchain, Deeptech, Next Gen Transportation, and Vertical SaaS companies. Cathryn employs a barbell strategy to invest in both early-stage deeptech companies and growth to late-stage Special Situations. Cathryn's team is based out of multiple locations worldwide. Additionally, they are the Founder & Chairwoman of MarketX Ventures, which invests in growth and late-stage secondary opportunities in the US, China, and Southeast Asia. Cathryn has experience in venture capital, private equity, and global mergers & acquisitions. Cathryn has held roles as an investor in various companies, including Aurora Technology Acquisition Corp, NeuReality, Kraken Digital Asset Exchange, Spatial, Flexport, BYJU'S, Viva Republica (Toss), and Discord.

Cathryn Chen holds a BA in International Relations and Affairs from UCLA. Cathryn also participated in an exchange program at Fudan University, where they studied International Relations and Management. Additionally, Cathryn studied Management and Finance at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Cathryn completed their high school education at Beverly Hills High School.
