Ben Gallup

Ben Gallup is a highly skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in research and development within the additive manufacturing sector. Currently serving as a Senior Principal R&D Engineer/Scientist at Markforged since May 2017, Ben balances managerial responsibilities with hands-on contributions to complex engineering challenges, particularly focusing on the optimization of the PX100 binderjet system. Previous roles at Markforged include Manager of R&D Engineering and Principal Mechanical Engineer, showcasing expertise in developing innovative sintering furnace technologies. Additionally, Ben has lectured at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, held a mechanical engineering position at Atlas Devices, and contributed to product development at Formulatrix, Inc. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California, Berkeley, respectively.
