Tripp Burd

Tripp Burd is an experienced professional in the fields of engineering and strategic partnerships, currently serving as the Director of New Platforms at Markforged since March 2017. In addition to this role, Tripp has held positions such as Senior Manager of Strategic Application Engineering and Head of Strategic Partnerships within the same company. Prior to Markforged, Tripp was a Principal Consultant in Manufacturing for independent technical consulting engagements from September 2012 to February 2017, focusing on optimization in design and manufacturing. Tripp also served as a Senior Consultant at Hagen & Company Inc. from November 2009 to August 2012, where responsibilities included leading teams to improve performance and reduce costs in manufacturing processes. Earlier experience includes working as a Composites Engineer at Composite Solutions Inc. from August 2007 to September 2009, specializing in carbon composite design for various industries. Tripp holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tulane University.
