Eric Austin

Eric Austin has worked in various roles since 2013. In 2013, they worked as an Engine Cadet/Oiler at Trident Seafoods and as an Engine Training Rate at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. In 2014, they worked as a 3rd Engineer at Central Gulf Lines, a Third Engineer at Maersk Line, Limited, and a 3rd Assistant Engineer - Unlimited Steam/Motor/Gas Vessels at MEBA. In 2016 and 2017, they worked as a Third Engineer at Maersk Line, Limited, a 1st Assistant Engineer at Schuyler Lines Navigation Company, a Program Manager, Lead Operating Engineer, and Operating Engineer at Markley, and a 2nd Assistant Engineer - Unlimited Motor Vessels at MEBA Dist 1-PCD (AFL-CIO).

Eric Austin obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy between 2009 and 2013. Prior to that, they attended South Shore Regional Vocational Technical High School from 2005 to 2009. Eric also holds certifications from the US Coast Guard (USCG Lifeboatman, obtained in April 2011), American Red Cross (First Aid/CPR), and NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Workplace Safety Training (NFPA70E).
