Mark Campito

Mark Campito began their career in 1970 when they were employed by the US Navy as a Planned Maintenese Systems Coordinator. In this role, they were responsible for scheduling maintenance on all machinery for Engine and Boiler Rooms and had the opportunity to travel to various locations, including the Mediterranean, Spain, Italy, and France, as well as Nova Scotia, Guantanamo, Cuba, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Norfolk, Virginia, and Newport, Rhode Island. In 1977, they became the International Sales Manager at Xciton Corp. In 1982, they joined National Semiconductor as a Marketing Engineer, where they were responsible for the technical training of representatives and distribution for the company's optoelectronic division. Mark also managed high value accounts in the western United States. Later that same year, they were hired as the Vice President of Marketing and Sales at International Devices. In this role, they established a network of representatives and distributors for North America and Europe, and developed a new optoelectronic division. In 1985, they founded Marktech Optoelectronics and served as the CEO. Mark was instrumental in creating Marktech's product literature, hiring key personnel, and establishing the West Coast manufacturing facility. Mark also oversaw the transition of both distribution and manufacturing of optoelectronic components and custom assemblies, including IR emitters, photo detectors, UV emitters, and InGaAs/InP epiwafers to this new facility.

Mark Campito attended Shaker High from 1964 to 1968 and obtained a High School degree. Mark then attended Siena College from 1974 to 1977, earning a B.A. in European History.
