At Smart Design, Dale worked as a Prototype Engineer from 2003 to 2006. They were involved in the design, engineering, and manufacture of home maintenance and kitchen tools, particularly contributing to the development of silicone sink strainers and spatulas.

Dale began their career at Universal Target Systems in 2001 as an Engineer. They were part of a team that developed multi-role drone aircraft and successfully demonstrated the technology in Pakistan.
