Eric Valent is a distinguished professional in the baseball industry, currently serving as the National Scouting Supervisor for the Miami Marlins since October 2017. Prior experience includes roles as Regional Supervisor and Northeast Area Supervisor for the Philadelphia Phillies, where responsibilities involved identifying top talent for the amateur draft. Valent also contributed to player development as a hitting coach for the Williamsport Crosscutters. As a former professional baseball player, Valent played nine years, including five seasons in Major League Baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, and New York Mets, along with a season in Japan with the Rakuten Eagles.
