Todd Metro

Director, Security at Miami Marlins

Todd Metro is the current Director of Security for the Miami Marlins. Todd has over 25 years of experience in law enforcement, including 18 years with the New York City Police Department. In their most recent position with the NYPD, they served as a 1st Grade Detective in the Counterterrorism Bureau.

In January 2018, Metro left the NYPD to become the Head of Safety & Security for New York Road Runners. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing security operations for all NYRR events, including the world-famous New York City Marathon. Todd held this position for four and a half years before joining the Miami Marlins organization in June 2022.

Todd Metro has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of South Florida and an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Suffolk County Community College.

Their manager is Caroline O'Connor, COO. Some direct reports include Arlene Mejuto - Security Officer, Joseph Ventura-Stern - Security Officer, and Jahaira Mendez - Security Officer. Todd Metro works with Christian Lowe - Senior Director, Business Analytics, Angela Smith - Senior Director, Community Impact, and Anthony Favata - Director, Event Operations.
