Jonathan Black

Jonathan Black is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical design and development across various industries, including aerospace and construction. As a Senior Director of Space Programs and Business Development at Marotta Controls since March 2017, Jonathan has led efforts in designing solenoid and pneumatic valves for launch vehicles, spacecraft, and satellites, previously holding roles as Technical Director and Staff Mechanical Engineer. Prior to this, Jonathan contributed to fluid handling systems at Solidia Technologies® and led hardware design for medical devices at Fractyl Laboratories Inc. An early career included roles in equipment repair and various engineering co-op positions, culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University in 2014.
