Melanie Chu is a Product Development Scientist at Mars, with a background in chemical engineering from the University of South Florida. Since joining Mars in June 2018, Melanie has designed an interactive flavor pantry tool for global markets, co-led market research for new product benefits, and developed alternative products that maintain sensory experiences. Prior experience includes roles at Kimberly-Clark, where Melanie launched new products for Kleenex® and Scott®, coordinated consumer studies, and optimized commercial products. A strong foundation in product development and engineering was established through earlier positions as a Process Engineer and Product Developer Co-op. Additional experience includes administrative support in the construction industry and tutoring.
