Sami Pant, PhD, PE, is a seasoned catastrophe modeler and hurricane researcher with extensive experience in climate-dependent hurricane loss modeling. They served as a Senior Scientist at Aon's Impact Forecasting department, where they developed hurricane models and led key projects, including contributions to the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection. Sami has also held research and teaching roles at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Clemson University, focusing on seismic and hurricane risks. Currently, they are the Vice President at Marsh, overseeing the Parametric Center of Excellence. Sami's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree from Tribhuvan University and advanced degrees from Clemson University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
