Tom Critchfield

Tom Critchfield is a seasoned risk advisor currently serving as a Risk Partner in Specialty Advisory at Marsh since December 2022, with a focus on Energy, Power, and Construction, and expertise in ground-related hazards within a multi-disciplinary risk consultancy. Prior to this role, Tom held various positions at Mott MacDonald from September 2014 to November 2022, including Principal Engineering Geologist, where Tom specialized in ground risk assessments and mitigation for geohazards such as earthquakes and landslides. Tom’s earlier experience includes roles as Exploration Geologist at Mining & Exploration Consulting Pty Ltd, managing site investigations and exploring subsurface deposits, and a brief tenure at Helio Resource Corp. overseeing drilling activities on a remote gold exploration project. Tom holds an MSc in Engineering Geology from Imperial College London and a BSc in Geology from the University of Leicester.
