Ray Wheeler

Ray Wheeler has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry, particularly with Marston's PLC. Ray started their career in 2001 as an Account Director at XN Checkout before joining Marston's PLC as an Area Operations Manager in 2002. From 2010 to 2013, Ray served as a Regional Operations Manager, overseeing multiple outlets and managing a team of Area Operations Managers. Ray then became an Operations Manager at Marstons Inns & Taverns in 2013, leading a team to deliver operational excellence across managed licensed retail formats nationwide. In 2015, they took on the role of General Manager Operational Productivity at Marston's PLC before being promoted to Head of Operational Excellence & Compliance - Marston's Pubs and Bars in 2019. Currently, Ray holds the position of Destination Pubs Head of Operational Excellence at Marston's PLC.

Ray Wheeler obtained a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Kings College London, where they studied from 1980 to 1983. Prior to that, they attended Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan from 1973 to 1980, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
