How We Started:
Martyred Angels is the realization of a dream by our Founder, John Wayne Vogels, who tragically lost his 3-year-old son, Bladyn, in a drowning accident. Since that heartbreaking event, John’s vision has been to provide unwavering support to grieving parents, children, and family members

Who We Serve:
We provide community support to families struggling after the tragic death of a child, children who have lost a sibling or parent, and all Emergency Responders directly impacted by these tragedies

Why We Do It:
The U.S. National Center for Health Statistics reports that over 50,000 children die each year in the United States.

The loss of a child can profoundly impact parents, leading to long-term effects such as heightened depression, neglect of self-care, and serious health issues.

Heartbreakingly, statistics reveal that 80% of marriages end in divorce following the death of a child. These devastating effects extend to children who have lost a sibling or parent, underscoring the need for compassionate support during such difficult times
