Michael Kirkpatrick

Michael Kirkpatrick is an accomplished engineering professional with over 20 years of expertise in SoC RTL to GDSII, currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Marvell Semiconductor since July 2018. Previous experience includes roles as a Consulting Engineer at Cavium Inc from 2016 to July 2018 and Principal Design Engineer at Toshiba from 1998 to 2016. Michael has a proven track record of successful first-pass SoC tape-outs, specializing in ASIC/SoC physical design, hierarchical design implementation, and power-sensitive design. A technical expert in timing closure, internal/external IP integration, and signal integrity analysis, Michael is proficient in various design tools and programming languages. Michael began their career at Digital Equipment Corp, contributing to the development of methodology flows for the Digital ASIC design community. Michael holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and further education from Georgia Tech.
