Tim Lu

Tim Lu currently serves as Director of Systems Engineering at Marvell Technology, leading a team of engineers across the USA, Canada, and Vietnam on next-generation optical PHY products since April 2021. Previously, Tim held the position of Sr. Manager at Marvell, where responsibilities included team leadership in validation and characterization of optical PHY products. Before joining Marvell, Tim worked at Inphi Corporation as Manager/Principal HW Engineer, overseeing validation for PAM4 optical transceivers. Tim’s extensive experience includes a tenure as Principal Engineer at Altera, where leadership in advanced transceiver validation occurred, along with roles at Silicon Clocks developing high-performance clock products, Exar Corp. focusing on wire-line communication products, and Cypress Semiconductor in various engineering capacities. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University.
