Maricela Ramirez is a Program Manager, Educator, and Artist currently serving as the Senior Manager of Outreach & Youth Pathway Programs at Marwen, where they develop holistic career experiences in the arts and support educational access for historically excluded youth. They previously held roles as a College Advisor at Chicago GEAR UP Alliance, a College Access Mentor at iMentor, and a Teaching Artist at After School Matters. Maricela began their career in education as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois Chicago, where they provided academic support for K-8th graders. They also gained experience as a Videographer & Editor at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and served as the Marketing Chair for Gamma Phi Omega, International Sorority Inc. They earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2015.
