Mary Elizabeth Inn (MEI) has been transforming the lives of Bay Area women since 1914. Now more than a century after our founding, we are one of the only providers of permanent supportive housing dedicated to housing and services for single adult, unaccompanied women in San Francisco.

Our mission is to end the cycle of poverty and homelessness for women in the Bay Area and empower women across all of life's stages to achieve self-sufficiency and security. We achieve this through integrated housing and services, leveraging a supportive housing program in one of San Francisco's historic buildings with on-site case management, food security programming, and technology access.
