John Scrooby has extensive work experience spanning over two decades. John began their career as a Technical Support Technician at KPMG South Africa in 1999 and held the role for a year. Afterward, they joined MIVA as a Technical Support Manager, where they worked for five years. In 2006, they moved to Cellectivity and served as a Technical Support Manager until 2007.
Following this, Scrooby joined uSwitch.com as a Service Delivery Manager and worked for four years. In 2011, they joined Forward Internet Group as the Head of IT Operations, where they remained until 2014. From there, Scrooby transitioned to Masabi, where they held several roles throughout their tenure. John started as the Director of Systems Operations and later became the Head of People Operations. Currently, Scrooby serves as the Chief People Officer at Masabi as of June 2022.
John Scrooby attended Damelin from 1998 to 1999, where they obtained a Diploma in Software Support with a focus on Microsoft. In addition to their formal education, John also holds additional certifications including Cisco CCENT from Cisco, ITIL 3 Foundation from ITIL, and MCTS from Microsoft.
