Tefo Pilane

Tefo Pilane is a seasoned telecommunications professional currently serving as a Senior Transport Network Engineer at Mascom Wireless since March 2018. Tefo's expertise encompasses DWDM, OTN, Microwave, SDH, PDH, FTTX, and IP Metro Services, with a strong focus on network design, planning, optimization, operation, and maintenance. Previously, Tefo held the position of Transmission Engineer where responsibilities included planning and implementing IP, Microwave, and Optical Fiber Transmission Networks, as well as managing network upgrades and commissioning projects for various mobile technologies. Tefo began a career as a Graduate Telecommunications Engineer at Botswana Power Corporation, following an academic foundation with a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Cape Town and ongoing professional development through the Management Development Programme at Stellenbosch Business School.
