James Sampson is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in offshore wind and subsea operations. Currently serving as Cables Package Manager for Masdar since June 2025, James previously held roles at Statkraft as Cable Package Lead and at Ørsted where titles included Deputy Package Manager and Senior Project Lead for Array Cables. Prior to Ørsted, James worked at DeepOcean, progressing from Project Engineer to Graduate Project Engineer while managing various subsea projects. Initial experience as Sales and Logistics Coordinator at Newport Industries involved contract management and client relations. James holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Durham University, completed in 2011.
