Sam Haysom is the Deputy UK Editor at Mashable. Prior to that, they were a freelance writer for BuzzFeed and the editor for Hotcourses Ltd. At BuzzFeed, Sam was commissioned to write a number of articles covering a wide range of topics. One of their feature articles, "Homeless Londoners Explain Why They're Living On The Streets" received over 220,000 views in its first four days. As the editor for Hotcourses Ltd, Sam wrote, sub edited, commissioned content and managed the social media channels for Whatuni.com and Postgraduatesearch.com. Sam more than tripled the social media followings for both sites during their time as Editor, as well as rapidly growing traffic to our editorial sections.
After completing a postgraduate diploma in magazine journalism at Cardiff University, Sam Haysom began their career as a journalist. Sam has worked for various publications, including The Guardian, The Observer, and The Times.
