John Schmidt

John Schmidt has extensive experience in engineering and management, particularly within the medical technology sector. Currently, John works independently while serving as Director of Sensor Engineering and Director of Sustaining Engineering at Masimo Corporation since March 2007, where responsibilities have evolved over various roles involving sensor development and product engineering since joining the company in 1999. Prior to Masimo, John held positions at Chad Industries as a Mechanical Design Engineer and at Tandis Research as a Project Manager, contributing to automation and project management processes. Early career experience includes roles at TRW Transportation Electronics Division, focusing on manufacturing engineering for automotive safety systems. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix between 1996 and 1998.
