Michael J. Defries

Michael J. DeFries is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial planning and analysis. Currently serving as Vice President of Commercial FP&A at Masimo since April 2013, Michael leads a team focused on enhancing profitability, revenue, market penetration, and efficiency within the commercial organization. Prior roles at Masimo include Sr. Director and Director of Global Commercial FP&A, where responsibilities comprised managing the Commissions team and executing detailed customer revenue analytics. Previously, Michael worked at HireRight, managing a team of analysts and overseeing financial planning for multiple subsidiaries, as well as conducting valuation analyses during mergers. Early career experience includes operational management and budgeting at Chili's. Michael holds an MBA in Finance from Cal State Fullerton and a BS in Criminology and Psychology from The University of Kansas.
