Mike Honarvar

Mike Honarvar is a highly experienced engineer specializing in mechanical design and laser technology within the medical device sector. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer II at Masimo since April 2020, Mike has contributed to medical device design, packaging, and prototyping. Prior to this role, Mike worked as a Research Scientist at Intelligent Optical Systems, Inc., focusing on Laser Ultrasound applications for non-destructive inspections in various industrial contexts. Additional experience includes positions as an Opto-Mechanical Engineer at Intelligent Fiber Optic Systems Corporation, where Mike developed fiber optic sensors for medical applications, and a Research Assistant at Temple University, where Mike led a team in the creation of brachytherapy prototypes. Mike began the career as a Quality Control Inspector at PIDEC, aiding in material selection and design processes for petrochemical equipment.
