Andrew Webb has a diverse and extensive work experience. Andrew began their career as a Research Fellow at Imperial College London in 2006, where they worked until 2009. In 2005, they joined the University of Melbourne as a Research Fellow and stayed there until 2011. During this time, they gained expertise in their field. In 2011, Andrew joined the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research as a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow and eventually rose to the position of Associate Professor in 2015. From 2017 to 2018, they served as the Acting Division Head of the Systems Biology and Personalised Medicine Division at the same institute. In 2017, Andrew co-founded IonOpticks, a company that specializes in manufacturing and supplying laboratory consumables for the scientific research community. Currently, they are also a Co-Founder of Mass Dynamics, which they established in 2019.

Andrew Webb completed their education at Monash University. Andrew obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry from 1998 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a PhD in Biochemistry from 2001 to 2005 at the same university. Furthermore, they hold a certification of PhD from Monash University, although the month and year of acquisition are not provided.
