Mark Murphy

Mark Murphy is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Senior Director of External Communications at Mass General Brigham since July 2022. Prior to this role, Mark held multiple positions at Brigham and Women's Hospital, including Director of Media Relations and Social Media and Media Relations Manager from March 2018 to October 2022. Mark's career also includes a long tenure at the Boston Herald as Deputy Sports Editor from November 1998 to March 2018 and experience as Sports Editor at Middlesex News from September 1989 to November 1998. Mark earned a BA in History and Spanish from the University of Pennsylvania.
