Karl Büttner is an experienced technology entrepreneur and mentor with over three decades in the industry. Currently serving as Chief Mentorship Officer and advisor at MassChallenge since June 2010, Karl has played a significant role in shaping the accelerator program and its mentorship initiatives. As a mentor and supporter at Techstars Boston and MIT Venture Mentoring Service, Karl contributes expertise to emerging startups. Karl co-founded 170 Systems, Inc., leading it from inception in 1990 to a successful acquisition in 2009, achieving notable profitability and a global customer base. Previous roles include co-founding Delphi Technology and serving as a principal consultant at Oracle Corporation. Early career experience includes research at Tektronix and co-founding BSDS.
